For the past eight years, the Hamtramck Neighborhood Arts Festival has looked to highlight the city’s boundless creative and tenacious spirit with its annual studio and gallery crawl.

Through the model of allowing visitors to curate their own experience, the all-day event will offer the opportunity to get an up-close look at local artist studios, exhibitions, and gallery spaces. Bands and DJs will perform on porches, in backyards, and at Hamtramck Disneyland. The festival will sprawl across four zones and will include bike rentals, a pop-up bookstore, and a closing party at Outer Limits Lounge.

Hamtramck Neighborhood Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13,  kickoff brunch at 11 a.m. at Bumbo’s, the festival begins at 2 p.m.; 3001 Holbrook St., Hamtramck; hamtramckneighborhoodartsfestival.com; Event is free.
