Making a stop Twelve Oaks Mall food court in Novi is the fast and furr-ious Hello Kitty Cafe Truck. The super-cute, very pink truck offers select sweet treats inspired by the beloved bow-wearing kitty. A Petit Fours box set, giant Hello Kitty chef cookie, and the previously teased macaron box set are among the exclusive eats folks can snack on from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck originally traveled the country as a novelty, as part of a Sanrio food tour in 2014. Since then, the Japanese company has been forced to dispatch a total of two mobile snack-and-shop units to feed the demand of the masses across the U.S.
The trucks have expanded to offer not just treats but exclusive collectible Hello Kitty plushes, sequin bow headbands, T-shirts, keychains, and thermal bottles — all of which will be available when the truck makes a stop in Novi.
