Dogs

Formerly known as 'The Dowg Band', The Dogs just might be one of the hardest-working blues bands on the local scene. Currently serving as the house band for The Soup Kitchen, where they host the city's best blues jam session every Tuesday night, the four-piece band which occasionally features Harmonica Shaw can also be found in Hamtramck every Monday night at The Holbrook Cafe and at The Home Plate across the street from Tiger Stadium every Wednesday. With two guitar players, bass and drums, The Dogs is not just a blues band but a blues/funk/jam band that has no problem kicking off a groove and following that groove wherever it may lead-and having one hell of a good time along the way.
