Detroit businesses are getting a festive touch this holiday season for the second annual Holiday Window Walk.

In partnership with Lawrence Technological University's Detroit Center for Design + Technology, some of your favorite area businesses are each partnering with a local designer to create a decorative holiday-themed storefront window. Eight businesses across Cass Corridor and downtown Detroit's Capitol Park will undergo a holiday window display makeover that will incorporate different mediums of design including light, video, painting, and pottery.

Among this year's participating businesses include Dessert Oasis, Eatori Market, Jolly Pumpkin, La Laterna, Pure Barre, RUN Detroit, Third Man Record's, and the Midtown location of Go! Sy Thai. Window gawkers can then vote for their favorite design by posting and tagging a photo with @detdesigntech to land the winning businesses and window designer some extra cash as first place winners will score $500 and second place will rake in $250.
