Fashion shows can go one way or the other. Sometimes they're overly serious affairs aimed at loosening your purse strings with boxed wine and sex appeal. But some can be fun and anarchic, celebrating a designer's creations but offering more for the senses than just garments and clothes horses stomping a catwalk.

Based on our knowledge of the people behind the Davenport Collection show at Tangent Gallery tomorrow, we're going to guess it's more of the latter, with funky, fun fashions, live music, and cheeky performances offering a bit of the old slap and tickle.

The latter will involve the Detroit House of Pain and roper Rigger Lucas, who ties people up and even suspends them for entertainment. Attendees can also expect a showcase from twentysomething fashion maven Lindsay Cashews. There will also be a festive fire outside to gather around, as well as a full bar. Sound fun? It starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Tangent Gallery, 715 E. Milwaukee St., Detroit; $15 at the door, $10 in advance online
