There has been a ton of talk on Dave Chappelle's newest standup specials on Netflix. Some are calling his jokes tired and lame, while others think that he may be a little too out of touch. But one question still remains after watching his special: who was the rapper that got Dave too high to perform when he famously bombed at the Fillmore?
Well my friends, that question has been answered. It turns out that Danny Brown was the culprit of getting Chappelle so high that he couldn't function.
Chappelle says in his special that "I had smoked some reefer with some rappers. I don't know if you know anything about hanging out with rappers but their weed is very strong. Stronger than I was accustomed to."
Brown, who is noted marijuana enthusiast, revealed in an Instagram post that he was the rapper with the incredibly strong weed. Brown wrote, "Haven't seen Dave new special but heard he gotta bit about that night I got him stoned to the gills... momma I made it!"
So Detroit, you have been warned. If you're ever smoking in a circle and Danny Brown suddenly appears and passes it, you maybe want to just take one hit and not two like Chappelle did.
