Bad Reputation — the new Taylor Swift will slither through Detroit

Aug 21, 2018 at 3:45 pm

Old Taylor can’t come to the stage right now because, well, she’s dead you guys, and new Tay-Tay is out for “Bad Blood.”

At least this is what pop music’s number one heartbreaker (and seemingly eternally heartbroken) Taylor Swift claims on her latest record, Reputation, making her the reigning princess of bitingly self-aware revenge ballads. After a slew of Taylor-based celeb feuds — ex-beau Calvin Harris and Kim and Kanye, to name a few — the #TaylorSwiftIsASnake hashtag made the social media rounds a few years ago. In the Reputation rollout, Swift blew the snake-emoji-posting trolls a red kiss by using literal snakes in her marketing. We see you, Tay. Camila Cabello and Charli XCX open.

Taylor Swift will perform on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Ford Field; 2000 Brush St., Detroit; 313-262-2000; fordfield.com; Tickets are $125+.
