Solo and duo sets all day for free at Trinosophes today, Wed. Dec. 23

Head to Trinosophes today, where from 9:30 a.m. until they close at 6 p.m., there will be great solo and duo sets by local musicians of very many stripes. You can enjoy a delicious coffee, grab a bite, browse the stacks at Peoples, and see extraordinary music. The series is called "One, Two, Go," and like many things at this venerated spot, it seems to have come together last minute.

I caught four sets yesterday and really hope I can make it by there today for more. Trinosophes is located at 1464 Gratiot Ave., right across the way from Eastern Market.

During Trinosophes' last two days open in 2015, we'll be presenting a super set of solo sets (and duets)! Throughout regular business hours (9am-6pm), musicians will be performing for 15-20 minutes, in a multitude of styles. It's all free and performers include Danny Kroha, Matt Smith, Frank Pahl, Michael Carey, Kathy Leisen, Akunda Hollis, Dan Tower, Samatha Linn, Leander Johnson, Ben Temkow, Shelby Murphy, Andrew Barrett, Matt Z, Dave Shettler, 696 Blues Band, James Cornish, Michelle Birawer, Sam Hooker, Brad Hales, Shelly Sallant and many others.
