Go Out to Brunch at the Rust Belt

Brunch might be the best meal of the week. It usually involves both the sweet and the savory, as well as a little hair of the dog, and perhaps an all-you-can-drink Bloody Mary bar. The problem is you must select one restaurant that's supposed to appease everyone in attendance of said brunch. So if you like Rock City Eatery and your beau wants Republica, one of you is getting screwed. And we don't mean in the good way.

Wait, what were we talking about? Oh yea. Brunch.

Out to Brunch is a new Metro Times event that's bringing together all your favorite brunch spots and a sampling of the best they have to offer. Rock City Eatery, The Root, Yemans Street, Bosco, Republica, Toast, Bobcat Bonnie's, Parks & Rec, Zeke's Rock & Roll BBQ, Sweet Lorraine's, A Serendipity Cakery, Rose Catering, and St. CeCe's Pub are all participating, bringing dishes like lox and garlic bread, stuffed French brioche toast, biscuits and gravy made with smoked gouda and white Cajun pork gravy, cinnamon roll bites, and Greek yogurt parfait with fruit, honey, granola, and pie crust crumbles. There will also be Ciroc mimosas, a Ketel One Bloody Mary bar, and White Pine Coffee.

You're probably hungry now, aren't you?

Well, the strolling brunch buffet doesn't happen until next Saturday, November 21, but you can always buy your tickets now and drool over the thought of stuffed French waffle bites until then. It's $40 per person.

Rust Belt Market is located at 22801 Woodward Ave., Ferndale.
