The Koffin Kats? Its' all very simple really... you take three guys from Detroit, Mi. who started out playing "the punk rock". Give one an upright bass (Vic Victor) and make him sing, another guy a hollowbody guitar (Tommy Koffin), and the other guy a drum kit (Damian Detroit). Then you get your Koffin Kat name from tattoo artist Sam Wolf and start playing music that some would call Gothabilly or Psychobilly, maybe Punkabilly...who knows. Its not like people can ever really agree what your music can be classified as, but does that really even matter? The Koffin Kats music revolves around thumping double bass, twangy demented guitar riffs, and pounding drums. With lyrics of death, self loathing, demonic beings, drug use, and just having a rockin' good time yall! They didnt come from hell but they'll probably end up there. Have the Koffin Kats come to your town.
