"Johnny Rodriguez's outstanding musicianship secured him work in the '70s at 'Casino 14 La Mancha,' in Manhattan, where he worked with the likes of Tito Puente. Johnny's reputation began drawing the attention of notables in other musical styles. In the '80s Johnny added R&B and Motown to his musical repertoire, working with the O-Jays, the (original) Temptations, Al Green and more. In the '90s, Johnny took on the title of bandleader and looked towards forming his own group. Drawing a talented complement of musicians, equally as skilled and diversified in a variety of musical styles including but not limited to Latin Jazz, Jazz, R&B, Salsa and Motown, the Johnny Rodriguez Fiery Latin Jazz Band was formed. The band features a full Salsa percussion section with Johnny Rodriguez on congas along with bass, piano and horns. The band's incredible talent, diversity and wide-ranging song list enables them, uniquely, to satisfy a broad spectrum of music lovers."
