Chi-town locals, Twin Peaks, did not adopt their band name from David Lynch’s creepy and fleeting TV drama. The only thing the boys may have in common with the show are birth years in the early ‘90s. The fact is these twentysomethings simply thought the name sounded cool. That’s their style – simple and non-egotistical. That no-muss-no-fuss attitude is portrayed in their grunge rock/heavy pop music that focuses largely on the insecurities of growing up. After the quick release of their 2013 LP, Sunken, the band spent more time developing their new album, Wild Onion, due out August 5, boasting a mature sound amidst frenzied solos and guttural screams.
