The Hinterlands’ The Radicalization Process

This wildly successful work is an original project for the Hinterlands and now in its third run — the first two sold out completely. The stage show, which is set to a live score performed on analog synthesizers and “everyday objects,” tells the swirling story of the radical left in the 1960s and ’70s. On paper, the story might seem to get confusing, as multiple timelines runs concurrently throughout the performance that is interwoven with shocking imagery. The play starts out as protagonists discover the archives of a forgotten revolutionary and begin to unravel both real and imagined histories.
