A tipster phoned News Hits Monday afternoon, chuckling as she told us to check out the Detroit News Web site and its story about George W. Bush intervening in the labor dispute at Northwest Airlines. We were told it wasn’t the story itself, but the placement of a certain ad that we’d find amusing. So we called up the site and clicked on the headline, “Unions chafe under Bush labor policies.” And sure enough, at the top of the page, up pops a banner ad for … you guessed it, Northwest.
Fly the friendly skies, indeed.
