This week's horoscopes are coming out under the light of a late Virgo Moon. At about 1:15 p.m. on the East Coast, and at about 10:15 a.m. out West, the moon will turn Void-of-Course and keep us in a state of suspended animation for approximately three hours, until she makes her entrance into Libra, later this afternoon. Loosely translated, this means there will be plenty of room for a lot of midday madness, during which time we will be free to go out for recess and do whatever we please.
With everything else that's going on, aspect-wise, a few hours with a chance to be off the hook could be a total blessing. Writing these weekly posts gives me a chance to keep up with which way the world is turning. At the moment, the entire planet is being T-Boned by a 90-degree aspect between Pluto and the asteroid Vesta. Just so you know, the textbook interpretation of this configuration reads like this:
"Work, employment issues become a bone of contention and form the basis for power struggles between partners and within organizations. Work becomes the means by which one 'stays on top.' Work is used to distance, or alienate. To lose oneself in one's work because there are control battles which one cannot win, OR, as a distraction from radical circumstances. To be involved in money troubles, therapy, compulsions of others through the career. To be aloof in the face of ultimatums, psychological pressure, or manipulation. To become distant in the face of confrontations or intensity, or other forms of pressure. To be caught in the crossfire of the power struggles of others, and to be wiped out, abandoned, and emotionally devastated in a very impersonal way, because of it."
—Martha Lang-Wescott, "Mechanics of the Future: ASTEROIDS"
To increase the intensity of this connection the asteroid, Astraea happens to be in tough aspect to both Pluto AND Vesta, with Vesta sitting in the corner pocket of a T-Square that has us teetering on the brink of destruction. For better or worse, we are being put through the ringer and are about to be annihilated or redeemed in the process. Whatever appears to be on its way up will keep rising with no interference, to the extent that it is maintained in a state of integrity. Whatever's down for the count will keep breathing until the last gun is fired — or until the heart of the matter is restored to a state of trust, harmony, and peace.
In the midst of my own questions and changes, being the answer woman can be a challenge. I would love to be wise enough to set everyone straight, but it's one of those days when it would be better for all of us if I gave myself a break. As you contemplate your future, and wonder what your fortune has in store for you this week, know that the woman who writes this stuff is heading down to the Dollar Store to pick up some cat litter, gaze at all the cheap stuff, and join the human race. Hey: the moon's Void of course, so give yourself permission to space out for a few hours and enjoy this week's 'scopes!
ARIES (March 21 – April 20):Life is accelerating and fortunately for you, you've got enough fire in your heart to keep up with it all. What you didn't see coming is now at a place where you are beginning to understand why it had to happen, and/or how to deal with it. Others won't let you down. If they're missing in action, they are more than here for you in spirit. As the dust settles on the past, and you get your bearings in a situation that is pregnant with possibilities, stay clear, and keep honing the gifts that have waited forever to loan you the right to get out there and do what you're about to do now.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 20):The conservatism that often shows up to keep you guys from going for it is a big issue right now. The difference between what you have and what you want out of it has you wondering why you keep following the rules. It's hard to say exactly how this is playing out for you but underneath it all it's time to stop making believe that you're into this. Questions that have to do with whether or not someone else is going to come around are setting you up to play a waiting game at a time when you're beginning to realize that you've had it up to here with both them and their nonsense.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20): Many things are up in the air. All of it looks good, most of it is harmless, and it will all work out fine if you can just continue to adapt. The living situation couldn't be better but guess what – it could change at the drop of a hat. As far as your love life goes; stay out of each other's hair and it will be easier to love each other through changeable times. Do away with your expectations and loosen the sense that anything has to be a certain way. If you can manage to do this, the next few months will settle into a pattern that looks like an even better version of your wildest dream.
CANCER (June 21 – July 20): You could really use a trip to Tahiti. Two weeks on the beach would sure be better than property, job, kid, and love issues all piling up at once. Acutely aware of the split between what you have to do, and what you'd rather be doing, you're ready to bail out right now; the problem is, once again, you can't – and that's just the way it goes. I'd love to tell you there's a hula skirt in your future, but it'll have to wait. Bring 100 percent of yourself to the task at hand. You're going to stick around and deal with this because you have to, and because no one can handle it but you!
LEO (July 21 – August 20): A narrow escape from an old pattern, situation, or rival has shown you how stupid it is to hold on to things that are totally over. Something just woke up and let it go in a way that will allow it to heal, instead of creating more heartache, chaos, or animosity. You can't even figure out how it happened, because this thing has been bugging you for a long time. Like so many of us, it seems to me that you're beaming up to something better. You're beginning to see that nothing good comes from taking the low road, no matter how much life, and our issues, tempt us to go there.
VIRGO (August 21 – September 20): You have too much going on, and all of it is top priority. Time constraints, and the weight of others who don't know how to pick up the slack, have only made things crazier. If you can manage to maintain yourself for another month or so, you'll be able to pull everything together in a way that makes it manageable. At the moment juggling an elephant on the head of a pin appears to be working for you. If others decide to drop out of the race, if deals fall through, and/or outer pressures reveal certain things to be out of the question, consider it a blessing.
LIBRA (September 21 – October 20): Giving yourself a break would help, but you can't. You're starting to think, 'Why me?" and wonder if there's more to life than this. Minor hassles, too much running around, and a lot of the SOS has you questioning yourself. In a maelstrom of change, it does no good to pass judgment on how you find your way through the gauntlet. Give it a rest and get back to the place that knows more about letting it be than the part of you that keeps riding your ass and making you think that you messed up. The fact that you keep holding your own is what matters most: keep it up.
SCORPIO (October 21 – November 20): You don't need to concern yourself with what other people think. It's not your business. And what you can't control is best left alone. Too many things filter in to this situation for you to think that there's only one way to see and/or deal with it. For now it would be good if you could keep your eye on what's true for you with the understanding that everyone has a right to their own opinion. Don't expect anyone to sign up for your team. Too many of your allies have chosen to step out of integrity at a time when you seem to be the only one who knows what it is.
SAGITTARIUS (November 21 – December 20): You have more than enough to keep you busy. There seems to be an abundance of everything right now. For the next few weeks the brass ring will be calling your name. It's time to perk up and start paying attention to some of the greater opportunities that are floating around. As far as time goes, it needs to be managed with a clear eye to how much of it you have to give to one thing versus another. That will depend on what's important to you. If it's your work, you need to make hay while the sun shines; if it's your love life, it's your turn to start opening your heart.
CAPRICORN (December 21 - January 20): It feels good to be out of the woods, or finally done with things that were totally dragging you down. What's amazing is, you were clueless as to how much of yourself got lost while life was harder than it had to be. It's even harder to believe that you were blind to the fact that you weren't there anymore. So much for what's over and done with; and a big "thank you" to whatever, or whoever, got you to see the light. You deserve a vacation and/or enough time to reconnect with the parts of yourself that disappeared while you were swimming upstream.
AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 20): You're in a situation that's going up and down. It's hard to tell where you're at with it. If the need to draw boundaries has become an issue it's because you don't have any! For now, you need to do whatever it takes to draw a line between where you stop and other people begin – because the tendency to lose yourself in a situation that has too much of someone else and their stuff in it, doesn't leave much room for you. You've been around the barn enough times to know what this pattern is all about. Pull yourself together. This will work if you can reclaim yourself.
PISCES (February 21 – March 20): Don't be too sure about this. You're trying too hard to cooperate at a time when it might be better if you just took care of what you need to do for yourself. Honestly. The way it looks to me is that you're hanging out here only because it's working for someone else and you are dying to get on with whatever the program needs to be. The last time I looked this was the 21st century and everyone was hip to the idea that it's safe and proper to follow one's bliss. Don't stick around if this is someone else's thing; you'll start to hate them for holding you back.
