Dead Man Winter

Dave Simonett, who also plays and writes songs for the acoustic band Trampled by Turtles, leads Dead Man Winter, an electric rock band comprised of he and his talented friends. The group, which formed in 2011 as a side project for a few members of Trampled by Turtles, has taken on a total individuality. The band is Americana-infused rock brilliance, and Simonett can grapple with any issue in song. Their latest album, 2017’s Furnace, handles the emotions of Simonett’s difficult divorce with poise and raw emotion, a tough combination to achieve.
