Miggy! When it comes to hitting, you can forget the argument about Cabrera being the best the Tigers have and start talking about all of baseball. In helping lead his team to another American League pennant last year, Miggy became the first AL slugger to win consecutive MVPs since Frank Thomas (1993-94). Cabrera, a right hander who made the move to third base to make room for power-hitter Prince Fielder, batted his way into the ranks of the truly elite by leading the American League in batting average (.348) home runs (44) and RBIs (137). The American League MVP award last year was well-deserved. But we want more of you, Miggy — we want that world championship. Get out there and help bring it home. We’re counting on you.
