Best Infrastructure Project Michigan Should Forget About

Widening I-94 by nearly 7 miles in Detroit, through Midtown

For the third year running, we're happy to report the proposed widening of I-94 between Connor Avenue and I-96 earned top honors again for this category. The project would siphon off connectivity between the ever-flourishing New Center and Midtown neighborhoods by removing a series of pedestrian bridges over the freeway. With serious attention being paid to a May ballot proposal on roads, this is one to keep mind of. And then, forget about it. For good.
