Saint Andrew's Hall 431 E. Congress St., Detroit; 313-961-8961; saintandrewsdetroit.com
Talk about a historic and storied structure; St. Andrew's Hall was constructed in 1907 and was originally used as the meeting site for the Scottish Society of Detroit. The space is cleverly carved into three unique event spaces: a large main ballroom, a quaint spot upstairs called the Burns Room, and, in the basement, a midsized venue called the Shelter. Not every venue in town has been as kind to alternative rock, goth, industrial, and especially hip-hop music as this space has, so we have to give them many propers for their continued love, support, and solid booking talent.
