Barrence Whitfield and the Savages

A frontman’s frontman since the early 1980s, Whitfield will stop at nothing to please his audience and get them on their feet roaring for more. Perhaps best described by their label, Bloodshot Records, “they were to R&B what the Cramps were to rockabilly.” Whitfield and his Savages have opened for the Damned, toured with Bo Diddley, and rockrf out with the raw spirit of Little Richard. They’re a little punk, a little rock, a little soul, and a seriously memorable live act. (21+)
