All Dolled Up: Ashley Elyse gets her style from the street

Jan 14, 2015 at 1:00 am

Ashley Elyse's lifestyle is as exciting as her New Year's Eve get-up. The metro Detroit-based event host and media personality likes practicing yoga on Belle Isle, hitting the dance floor, and getting together with her "good vibe tribe," a group that calls itself TrinitGypsy and hits events like Movement and D Lights Yoga at North End Studios where they sell one-of-a-kind screen-printed T-shirts and shorts as well as blessed water containers and handmade sunglasses.

When it comes to her style, she says she gets most of her inspiration from being on the street. She even likes to ask passers-by about their outfits and where they picked up their threads. She likes shopping at Sassy Chic, Human, Division Street Boutique, Rust Belt Market, MF Vintage, and Regeneration. She says she's always on the lookout for unique, bold, and special pieces regardless of trends.
