Native Detroiter Dr. Anita Moncrease, who was the first African American to complete the Harvard/ Commonwealth fund fellowship in Minority Health Policy, will share her exhibition. It chronicles the struggles and achievements black doctors faced to practice their profession. Then, descendants of Detroit’s pioneering black doctors, including Joseph Ferguson, James Ames, Albert Henry Johnson, and Charles Williams, will share their families’ stories.
