HOW DO I GET IN TO BLOWOUT?

Getting into Blowout begins with the weekend wristband! Every person attending Blowout must have a wristband around his or her wrist to gain access to all Blowout venues, no exceptions.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE MY WRISTBAND DURING BLOWOUT?

***NEW AND IMPORTANT FOR THIS YEAR! Wristbands will ONLY be available for purchase during Blowout at the Gates of Columbus and at Detroit Threads. Wristbands may also be purchased at the Blowout Pre-party, happening at the Majestic on 3/3.

Unlike previous years, wristbands will NOT be available for purchase at all participating Blowout venues during Blowout. Wristbands will ONLY be available for purchase after 8 p.m. each night of Blowout at the Gates of Columbus and Detroit Threads.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE BLOWOUT TICKETS BEFOREHAND?

Blowout pre-sale tickets are available through ClicknPrint.com or at the Metro Times office located in Greektown above Flood's Restaurant.

HOW CAN I REDEEM MY PRE-SALE TICKET?

Printed pre-sale tickets MUST be presented at the pre-sale line located at Detroit Threads or Gates of Columbus. Pre-sale tickets can also be redeemed at the Pre Party at the Majestic. Once the printed receipt is scanned, the recipient will receive a wristband good for entry into all Blowout venues for every night of Blowout. HOW MUCH DO WRISTBANDS COST?

Wristbands will cost $20 and are good for ONE person for the ENTIRE BLOWOUT. Access to all venues is subject to capacity.

THERE IS ONLY ONE BAND I WANT TO SEE ON ONE NIGHT. IS THERE A SINGLE NIGHT PASS?

There will be no single night wristbands available. Blowout is one of the most unique and affordable music festivals in the country and offers the opportunity to hear 200+ local bands over four nights. We encourage attendance over multiple nights, but we also feel that even for one night that this is a good deal, that it supports local musicians and that is a very worthwhile music event!

WHAT IF I BREAK OR LOSE MY WRISTBAND?

Blowout and Metro Times are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen wristbands.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO ATTEND BLOWOUT?

Blowout is an 18+ event. There are two wristbands available; UNDER 21 and 21+. ID’s will be checked by security at every Blowout venue. Buy your pre-sale tickets HERE!

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
There are tons of street and public parking throughout Hamtramck. Look for the public parking lots and consider carpooling, buses, etc. Arriving early will help avoid any parking headaches.

HOW DO I GET FROM VENUE TO VENUE?
The Night Move will be providing shuttles that will run from venue to venue every 15 minutes. You must have a Blowout wristband to ride the shuttles. Please be responsible for your personal belongings when riding on the shuttles. Metro Times is not responsible for items lost while riding the shuttles.

HOW DO I GET A PRESS PASS?

Press can apply for credentials through the Press Application located on the Blowout Press page. Press approved for credentials may pick up their credentials at the Blowout Pre-Party on March 3 at the Majestic.

MY NAME SHOULD BE ON THE GUEST LIST?

There is no guest list.

• Smoking is allowed in all of the Blowout venues. Please plan accordingly.
• There will be Budweiser drink specials in all of the bars.

• Do not buy wristbands from people on the street! Counterfeits show up every year.  We cannot be responsible for counterfeits. Wristbands are sold ONLY at Gates of Columbus, Detroit Threads and at the Majestic Pre Party.

BLOWOUT BAND FAQ’S

WHERE CAN BLOWOUT BANDS PICK UP THEIR BAND PACKETS?

Musicians can pick up their packets at the Blowout Pre Party on Wednesday, March 3rd at the Majestic Theatre (4140 Woodward Ave.; Detroit; 313-833-9700) beginning at 8:00 p.m.

If a representative of your band CANNOT attend the Pre Party, then the packet will be waiting for the band at THE GATES OF COLUMBUS beginning on Thursday, March 4th at 8 p.m.

WHEN SHOULD MY BAND LOAD-IN?
Load-in at all venues is at 6 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. Venues will begin to fill up early so it would be best to have all of your gear loaded in early.

IS SOUND PROVIDED FOR THE BANDS?
All musicians are expected to bring their own gear. This includes DAT machines, turntables, etc. A basic PA package with mic stands will be provided. There are no backlines. Due to the number of acts performing there is no sound check.

HOW LONG ARE WE SUPPOSED TO PLAY?
Sets are 35-40 minutes. Stage managers have been instructed to keep the show moving. Please start your sets promptly and be courteous of the bands/musicians following your performance.
