Metro Times thanks the patrons, performers, sponsors and bar owners who participated in the fifth annual Hamtramck Blowout — the largest, most diverse showcase of local musicians ever assembled for one event. This year’s Blowout featured over 160 acts playing 12 venues over 4 nights, spanning a multitude of genres including: rock, pop, folk, metal, punk, blues, jazz, indie, garage, hip hop and electronic.

Our corresponding local music issue (with four collectible covers!) featured stories on ten musical artists who offer some of Detroit's best rock, punk, funk, folk, polka, blues and hip-hop.
