Chain & the Gang release new video featuring local experimental musicians

We can't stop watching the new video released by Chain & the Gang, the current project of Washington D.C.'s Ian Svenonius (Nation of Ulysses, the Make-Up, Weird War). While the four albums released by the group thus far have stayed within the realm of conventional rock 'n' roll, this new song goes in another direction — in the band's own words, they are "announcing a bold foray into experimental music." 

The song was recorded here in Michigan at the now-defunct World Class Tapes studio in Ann Arbor, and Svenonius is backed by a cast of Ypsilanti- and Ann Arbor-based experimental musicians.

Sadly, the crime rockers' Midwestern tour does not include any Detroit appearances , but they will be performing on Sunday, July 3 at Third Man Records in Nashville.
