Detroit's Redford Theatre to screen David Bowie films

Following the death of David Bowie, Detroit's Redford Theatre will screen two films starring the pop icon on Friday, Jan. 15.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.for the screening of 1986's family-friendly fantasy Labyrinth.  Video clips featuring Bowie will be presented starting at 7 p.m. with Labyrinth starting at 8 p.m. At 10:30 p.m., the theater will screen the adult-only 1976 sci-fi film The Man Who Fell to Earth in a rare 35mm director’'s cut. 

Admission is $5 per feature. In a press release, organizers say "other surprises are planned," and advise purchasing a ticket ahead of time as they expect the screenings to sell out. As a reminder, their concession counter is cash only.
