Bonnaroo, Pitchfork Music Festival, Lollapalooza — these are names we're used to hearing when major, international-attention-getting festivals are mentioned. And those names are most definitely on a list that Rolling Stone recently compiled of the 50 best music festivals in the world.

Two of Michigan's biggest festivals also got mentioned.

Movement, Detroit's annual "techno fest" and Electric Forest, another electronic music fest held yearly in Rothbury, both took spots on the list.

Of Movement, Rolling Stone says: "Movement is the Barbara Mandrell of EDM fests: It was techno when techno wasn't cool. Local legends like Kevin Saunderson and British house imports like MK would elsewhere be relegated to for-the-heads side-stages, but around here, they're the stars of the show. If loving that is wrong, we don't want to be right."

Of Electric Forest, the mag says: "Remember that dream where you do-si-do'd to the String Cheese Incident's progressive bluegrass then raved to the pulse of Steve Angello's Swedish house? That wasn't a dream, it was a flashback to last year's Electric Forest. The aptly named rural festival literally lights up the woods, blasting Wonderland visuals into the natural environment. Once again, the soundtrack will include EDM, jam bands and a lot of 20-somethings saying, 'Ooh.'"
