Joe Humphreys has spent many years collecting vintage clothing. If you ask him, buying used means you can often get a higher quality garment for cheaper than if you'd gone to the department store. Through the years he's picked up pieces while traveling and by spending hours combing local thrift stores.

Recently Humphreys decided to share his love of vintage with the public. He plans to open a shop called Worn in Ferndale in mid-May. He says the shop will offer a "point of view" when it comes to vintage clothing, rather than just a stock of used goods like other thrift stores. He's currently putting together a lookbook, which he says will offer a more direct view of what he and the store plan to offer. The lookbook is due by the end of the month.

The store will focus on women's clothing, with a few shoes and accessories thrown in there, according to Humphreys. He plans to be open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., but might also have extended hours in the summer. The store will be located at 23616 Woodward Ave., Ferndale. Click here to see Worn's Facebook page. While there isn't a lot of info available on that page, Worn does have an Etsy account with some items available for purchase. From the looks of that page, Humphreys' "point of view" on vintage will include a lot of '90s style and some '90s does the '70s style too.
