Catch Lady Te on BET's 106 and Park Today

It was just a few months ago that we were telling you about 21-year-old Detroit emcee Lady Te. The Wayne State University student has all of the swag and rhyme cadence of an experienced music veteran even though she's still fairly young and mapping out her own trajectory.

If there's one thing that Lady Te is full of however it's confidence. She'll let you know quickly in all of her songs that she's not to be taken lightly and it's obvious that she's got the braggadocio nature of hip-hop down pat. You can listen to some of her previous songs or the material on her Born Ready mixtape for proof of that. Or if you've got cable, you can watch Lady Te on BET's popular 106 and Park today.

She's taping a live broadcast during their Wild Out Wednesday's segment where she'll be rapping and repping for Detroit as best she can. It's the type of segment where they want viewers to text in and vote if you like her so feel free to rig things and just text "B" to 79922 regardless of if you like her or not. Chances are she'll earn your vote and make that extra charge on your phone bill worth it.

In true Detroit fashion, she's even made a video to help build hype around her BET appearance today and you can tell her camp is understandably excited about all of this.

When asked how she feels about performing on BET later this evening and where her head is at, Lady Te had this to say via email from New York: "I'm very excited about performing on 106 & Park and the opportunities that will arise from this experience. I'm blessed to be in this position, but don't let the “lady” in my name fool you. Coming up as a female artist is a challenge, but [it's] molded me into a hard working and humble emcee."
